People afflicted with bad breath find stick relief through Dr. Edwards’ Olive The pleasant, sugar-coated tablets are taken for bad breath by all who know them. Dr. Edwards’ Olive Tablets act gen- tly but firmly on the bowels and liver, stimulating them to natural action, clearing the blood and gently purifying the entire system. They do that which dangerous calomel does without any of the bad after effects. All the benefits of nasty, sickening, griping cathartics are derived from i ‘dwards’ Olive Tablets without cTiping, pain or any disagreeable effects. Dr. F. M. This site is pare of the Indian school property and steps have been taken through Congressman George .M. Young to have the government turn over the purpose. The report states: “The capacity of the filtration plant has been fixed at 2,225,000 gallons per day in order to provide for’ some future growth and make it possible during the winter months, when con- sumption is less than one-half the estimated summer consumption, to operate the plant on a single shift of eight hours per day. This capacity is also.necessary, in connection with the reservoir capacity, for fire protec- tion and makes possible the emer- gency ‘operation of the plant in case one filter is out of order.” Items Specified ‘The plans provide for a suction well 40 feet deep’ and 20 feet in dia- neter, an aerator and mixing cham/ rs of the’ vertical ‘banle type, i feed machines, sedimenta- ins, filters, low lift pumps, igh lift pumps, chlor‘nator, chemi val storage plant, office and labora- tory, heating plant, reservoirs and valve chamber, supply mains, distribu- tion system, hydrants, gate valves and other equipment. The total time of travel of the water through, the mixing chamber 1s ¢v minutes and the length of, travel is 2,500 feet, Th water will remain in the sedimentation basins ten hours for settlement and these basins when full will hold 840,000 gallons, | Three rapid sand filters; each with a capaci- ty of 750,000 gallons per day of 24 hours, are provided. The combined capacity of the pumps will be 3,500 gallons per minute at 100 poynds Pressure in the city and 4,009 gallons per minute at 80 pounds pressure. Concrete Reservoirs The reservoirs will be located on a hill approximately 890 feet east of the present reservoirs of the Bismarck Water Supply company, ‘on the prop- erty of the Indian school. The reser- voirs are to be constructed of con- crete with concrete roofs to prevent the grows of algae in the water and will be equipped with baffles so as to give a continuous flow of water chrough the reservoirs. The capaciy of the two reservoirs is 1,600,000 gal- ons. ‘ Two supply mains are provided, one of fourteen inch diameter and_thej other of twelve inch diameter. They will permit the full combined fire low and domesiic consumption of 4,000 gallons per mrinute without re ducing the pressure in the city below 75 pounds per square inch. The report states: “The present intake, suction well, pump house witi its equipment, booster pump house, so-called clarification plant, and vari- ous small buildings and sheds, 'which form a part of the present plant, are inadequate or not suitable for the requirements of a first class water works system and would not be re- voirs, while not in first class condi- tion, are of ample capacity and no additional reservoirg are providéd ‘or in the estimate. The present distri bution system. would be used entirely, but would require additions and rein- forcements.” Seven Contracts » The plans presented by the city en. gineer recommends that the work of constructing the new system be divid ed ingp seven contracts. “In di-lin? the works into contracts,” the” repo:t states as noted above, it is believed the city can ‘save considerable on th?) work as the material can be purchas- ed, 93 cheap ap any contfactor can purchase it and further by divigg the work into small contracts the local contractors can handle much of the work “and therefore at least one third of the cost will be money that will be left at home.” ESSEX SHOWS BIG CAR ROAD TO CITY AFTER.
