In the Grand Rapids country, Joe Sinclair shot a moose and was about to cut up the animal when a pack of 50 wolves, attracted by the smell of the blood, interrupted operations. Sin- clair climbed a tree and used up ls remaining bullets. The wolves scattered in a circle and sitting on their hounces at a short dis- tance waited events.
