Major Wright has had a varied and interesting ‘career since June, 1916, when he left here for the border of Mexico, and, after the war with Germany was declared, taking charge of the bridge guard at Bis- marck. In the fall of 1917, after the regiment was mobilized at Camp Green he with the other members of Co. H. landed in Liverpool, on Christ- mas, day. His work in France has been active. He was in command of the school detachment of the 2nd corps at Chatillon-Sur-Seine, until February 1 of this year. He was then sent to Gondrecourt in charge of the junior officers and later was in com- mand of the third corps, Artillery Park, near Verdun, He served in the Champagne sector in active service and was mentioned for honorable ef- fort by several French officers.
