« re “SATURDAY, APRIL. 26, 1919. Sewing School-Closes After Week’s. Work The Sewing, school, which has been conducted this week in the Masonic temple, concludes today, after .a most successful week’s ‘work. The school has been under the management of Miss Florence Poole, home demonstra- tion agent for Burleigh county, assist- ,ed by Miss Inez Wilson, a clothing specialist: from the extension depart- ment. of the Agricultural college at Fargo, who came to help Miss’ Poole in arranging the school. About 30 ladies were enrolled, some have made new garments, some have | made over articles ‘of clothing, and many garments have been turned out during the week. Each lady has done , her own sewing, and boys’ suits, coats, girls’ dresses, ‘etc,, are some of the numerous things which have been fin- ished up, and have been made over from the parents clothing. Yesterday afternoon, Miss Wilson} gave a very interesting talk on dyeing woolens, cottons,” silks and linens, showing how to use the dyes on the various fabrics. Today, she gave an instructive address, and’ gave many points on: making © over’ children’s clothing. Both Miss Wilson and Miss Poole are greatly ‘pleased with the week’s work, and are much encour- aged’ over.the splendid interest the ladies have taken in the school. Miss Wilson returns to Fargo this evening, after her stay in Bismarck, and she has six weeks of school al- ready: planned at various points in the state. she fare seers i | CHURCH NOTES j Swedish.
