Krasnoyansk, Siberia, Sunday, Jan. —When trains carrying allied for- es westward over the Transiberian | railway, reached this city, on the left | bank of the Yenesey river, they found that Rusisan troops had been fighting against Bolshevil contingents about ten miles to the southward. First re- ports of the fighting were received when the train reached Kuiuckanya, i about forty miles to the east. At this point wounded Russians were found. They were given aid by Canadian syr- geons and brought here. According to a Russian colonel, B‘sl- shevik forces numbering about 1,300 were entrenched in villages to the south, with cannon and machine gans. The Rusians rushed upon them ‘and repulsed. iks in another village attacked. The results were indecisive. Trops have advanced from Udansk to Misavaya. The constitutionality of all these measures depends upon the North Da- kota’s supreme court’s upholding the action of the state canvassing board in declaring five amendments initiat- ed by the league at the last election carried by a majority of the votes cast upon these particular questions while the wording of the constitution is “a majority of all the legal votes cast at such election.” The state canvassing boged is called before the supreme court to defend its action upon Tuesday. Resolutions ratifying all these amendments on the report of the state canvassing board had al- leady been introduced in the house and were considered in committee of the whole today.
