C., April 6—James King, night watchman at the office of ‘the-committee on public information, was found dead early today with a ‘bullet hole through his head, Offi- cials of the committee thought he had ‘been murdered. Examination .of King's pistol indi- cated that he had tried to fire it and that the cartridges had failed to ex- plode.
