There were present Commissioners Bertsch, Best, Kirk and President Lucas. The minutes of the meeting held December 10th, 1917 were read and approved af- ter certain changes were made. The city auditor was, instructed to write to the Haggart Construction company and to notify them that the city ex- pects interest and damages for the ‘time that the sewer lift on Broadway was out of commission. The auditor was instructed to notify the Hughes Electric company to move the street light located at the intersection of Broadway and Ninth streets. The li- cense ordinance fixing'the license fee of moving picture shows at $75.00 was read for the seeond time and passed. A communication from Judge W. S. Casselman was read, receiced and filed. The vote of the Special Elec- tion held December 27 1917, was can- vassed and it was found that H. A. Thompson received a majority of 29 votes over J. A. Larson. The auditor was insiructed to issue H. A. Thomp- son a certificate of election to the of- fice of city commissioner. The follow- ing bills were allowed and. ordered paid, funds permitting. H. L.
