Lamb farm west of this town in Carmel township, which is occupied by Grant Kiplinger, was struck by lightning and the sid- ing was torn off from top to bottom on both gables, the barn being about 50 feet in height. Mr. Kiplinger was standing in the barn at the time, and the stable doors, within tw Sev of him, were slivered and he was stunned, but not hurt by the shock, The fact that he was wear- ing rubber boots probably saved him from instant death, The barn fortunately did not catch fire.
