SATURDAY MARCH 31, 1917. GH : ee BISMARCK DAILY, TRIBUNE Pee ET les (Continued from last Week) Having stated the dangers of spotting in last week’s issue, we will now point out some of the spots that will not yield to the dry cleaning process. They are: paint, varnish, linseed oil, blood, ink, pitch, sugar, syrup, gum, and most foods, fruit, coffee, tea, milk, perfume, etc. The latter is found mostly on light colored waists, but used with care in a place that would not show would save alot of trouble to the cleaner. Now, supposing you had either of these spots on a silk dress and you were to clean it; would it not be natural to try and rub it ouf? If you did it would cause a rubbing mark. In appearance these marks are whitish and dull, the luster being rubbed off. There is no remedy for these marks. Supposing you succeeded in removing the spot without producing a rubbing mark, nine chances out of ten you would produce a spotting or swell mark which is a circle around where the spot was. To remove this requires experience and patience. We have both and, including the equipment, we feel that we are entitled to your patronage. This will be continued in next Saturday’s issue telling you more about equipment. It has been our aim to protect our buyers in every way possible and we have been helping to build up the great HOME ADDITION to Bismarck.
