He states that, he leased 5,000 acres in the province of Saskatchewan, a number of years ago under the Old Dominion regulations which did not require that the lessee be a Canadian citizen or a (British subject. This lease, the senator states, entitled him to a claim under the same considera- tions. “I have been an .American citizen and a resident of Kenmare for 18 years,” said Englund, “and I have no desire to change my fealty.” JAMESTOWN ENGINEER HERE.
