Two energetic young men have es- tablished a camp on the lower part of Padre island in the Gulf of Mexico on the Texas shores, in an effort to locate the gold-laden chests of the Pirate Lafitte who, according to the legends of the country, frequeunted those parts and it is supposed that some of the wealth which he accumu- lated must be buried in the sands of that shore. The men say they are there to stay and they have brought some machinery with which the work will pe facilitated. It is said that they have uncovered some interesting mate- rial which leads them to believe that they are on the right track.
