C, is the son of the Polish minister to the Uni- ted States, and a sure kenough prince. He is an earnest worker in scouting and passed all his second-class tests with ease except one; the require- ment_which demands that the candl- date must “earn and deposit $1 in a public bank.” Earning money was to- tally, out of range of the little prince's experience, but he was game. He earned. his dollar by selllng papers or the street. TUntil such time as the main highways can be bullt of the durable type, gravel and macadam may be used as substitutes, but what the whole country wants and demands are real honest-to-goodness good roads.
