Iver Hogue has been ill the past week, suffering from a severe cold. He is improved at this writing. Mrs. Borgerson will entertain. the Lutheran Sewing Circle at her home February 1. All are welcome. Henry Gregerson’s oldest girl has been ill the past week, but is not improved. The Kitichi Farmers’ club arc look- ing for their free state library now every day, as it was ordered a week ago to be sent by express from St. Paul. g The Henry Sawyer mill force are all busy cutting logs to make shin- gles. £ C. C. Smith and sons, with other help, have contracted to cut ten cords of wood, which is to be cut and hauled to the Kitichi landing, for Rev. Rippor of Cass Lake. They have enough logs cut for the mew Kitichi Union church, to be built at Kitichi. C. C. Smith and daughter Ida were Pennington callers on Saturday.
