Mr. Dyorcek, the county agent, was in charge. Nels Rude and family returned Thuireday from Devils Lake and other North Dakota points. They were gone about a week and traveled about eight hundred miles. They report a pleasant trip but found the crops rather poor in many places. Miss Clara Lysing went to Trail €aturday to visig the Ole J. Millar family spent Sun- day at the John Millar home near Shelvin. Carl A. Schmidt took them over in his new Dodge car. i Mr. and Mrs. George Stohl of Be- midji visited with Mr. and Mrs. 8. C. Millar last Sunday. Misses Vera and Lila Elliott were shopping at Bemidji on Monday. Fred Elliott and Ray Spencer hauled T. B. Millar’s saw mill to Debs Monday. / Carl Freed is getting material for a new houge that he will build on his place east of town this fall. “Parthian Shot.” Parthia was a celebrated country of anclent Asia. An English clergyman, Father Black, spent a great deal of.his time visiting prisons and trying to reform the in- mates. The waste Is chiefly due to too rich gasoline mixture. It is estimated that an improved and practically au- tomatic carburetor might save Ameri- ‘can auotmobilists $34,000,000 a year.
