PAGE FOUR NEWS OF THE THEATRES' /e e e “WOMEN MEN LOVE" AT THE ELKO THEATER TONIGHT “Women Men Love,” the six-reel picture which is showing at the Elko tonight and tomorrow William Desmond back to u uch as made him a front orite ¥n the old Triangle S, Women Men Love” is the story of a man who loved his weak and beautiful wife so well that he went down to and finally brought her back to the throne. Martha Mansfield and Marguerite Marsh are the two women, featured in leading parts in this picture. Comedy “The Simp” at the Elko tonight and Friday features Lloyd Hamilton, more generally known as “Ham,” of “Ham and Bud” fame. “THE JUCKLINS” AT ELKO SATURDAY AND SUNDAY Talent seems to be a gift 'in the Scott family, of which Mabel Juli- enne Scott, noted screen actress is the most brilliant representative. Although Mabel has an abundant share of the family talent, as has been shown by her notable work in several George Melford productions, sh asn’t got it all. For now comes William Scott, Mabel's brother, who is rapidly forging to the front. He h; n imp lins.” a picturization of Opie Read famous novel, in which Miss Scott also appears. It will be shown at the Elko theater next Saturday and Sunday. s SPENCER SISTERS AND WILBUR SPLENDID TRIO. AT THE GRAND Spencer Sisters and “Wilbur in «Tnicks and Tunes" derive their name from the unit they served with during the world war, playing for the boys of the A. E. F. through France, Belgium and in Germany after the armistice. The act consists of two decidedly pretty ung ladies who look and dress alike, and a very agile young man. The girls have splendid voices besiides being accomp- lished dancers. A continual stream of comedy chatter is indulged in during the entire act of good clean wholesome humor. Perry Taylor, that conjuring cuss tries to amuse rather than mystify his audience and it must be said that he succeeds admirably well. His is a surprise act that is a sure win- Trixie and Doris. billed as “The Girls With the Curls’ "presents a clev- er song and dancing act. Sister teams of this type are always popu- lar, and trom advance notice, Trixie and Doris are no exception. As a ‘babe she is,put in the care} of a hill gang by a treacherous fam- ily lawyer who is desirous of con-' verting her .estate to his own pur-, pose. Later when she grows to giirl- | hood she is made a member of the gang and is compelled to .do her share of the work in the illicit trad-, ing of Dad Harper. She is dis-' covered and realizes that she is an outcast from what she think her own people. so decides to shift for herself.
