SOIL SURVEY FOR BELTRAMI COUNTY Beltrami county is again fortunate in securing a state soil survey for a section of land in the southeastern part of the county. Five thousand dollars were appropriated for expendi- ture each year for the two-year period by the last state legisla- ture, and the federal government pays a like amount, making $20,000 in all available for this purpose in the two years, 1921 and 1922. The decision reached in St. Paul Monday by the board, created for the purpose of making a soil survey to start in Bel- trami county, will greatly add to the value of the land clearing campaign now in full swing.
