EGG-LAYING CONTEST Fargo, Nov. 19.—White Leghorns owned by Cal Zahrfield of New Rock- *ford’ won the championship egg lay- ing contest of North Dakota for one year ending the last of October. This pen of five laid 724 eggs during the year. ' The bird which took the high- est individual record laid 177. Twelve pens were entered, one be- ing from South Dakota.
