Charles Ray has done all that in the movies and he certainly couldn’t get away with it if he weren’t a wiry, hard- muscled youth who loves the great outdoors. Thére is none of the effete ‘‘lounge lizard” about Charles Ray, either on the screen or off. In “Red Hot Dol- lars,” his new Thomas H. To consider the question of teachers’ salaries, a conference of school boards has been called by the state board of education for Saturday, April 3, at 10 a. m., to be held in the auditorium of the Agricultural college of the University of Minnesota. On Friday afternoon, April 2, at the meeting of the super- intendents, there will be a preliminary report of the committee for the state department of education appointed by the state board to study the question of state aid. Following this, the committee appointed to investigate teachers’ salaries and living expenses will make its report. An. opinion of the attorney general holds that a school board may charge the expense of its delegate to this conference to the district, or that several districts may”share the expense of sending a representative. Letters have been sent out inviting school board members to be present at this meeting and also to attend th superintendents’ banquet in the evening. The members of the state board of education will be present on both occasions. ; # NEWS OF THE THEATERS A Real Stock Tonic at A Real Price '12}c per pound wr has b A saving of from 5¢ to 7¢ a pound.
