On page 16 after the words “‘Job 1903,” the words “State Road No. 11' from Baudette to Winter Road River,” were inserted. Orni’ motion duly seconded and. carried the tninutes were approved as corrected. The petition of Frank A. Marcus, et al, for the establishment of a county road' ‘was read. It is furthermore ordered that Com- missioners Ellis and Lennon, members of this board, be, and they hereby are, appointed a committee to examine said proposed route of said road, and that said{ committee meet upon the route of said road at Nebish, Minnesota, in said county on Saturday, the 4th day of Oc- tober, 1919, at 12 o’clock a. m,, for the purpose of examination of sdid pro- poged route of said road, and make re- port ‘thereof at said meeting of said boatd hereinbefore specified, and that notices' hereof be given and posted as pro¥ided by law. The petition of H. M. Clark, et al., for ichange in county road to Puposky meeting August 6th to ‘be changed as follows: Continue one and one-half milés further directly north from the townshin line between = Northern and ‘Turtle Lake, instead of turning west at this’ point and thence west ane mile. Ry. right-of-way, has béen presented to the county board of Beltrami county, and asking that his sald lands may be set -off from said distriet number 6 to said district num- ber 7, and the said board has appointed a time’ and place for hearing thereon. Therefore Notice is hereby given that said peti- ition will be heard by said board, at a 'session ‘thereof, commencing on the (th !day of 'October, 'A. D. 1919, at 2:30|1 o'clock in- the afternoon, at the oftice of the county auditor in the court house of Bemidji ‘in said county, at which time and ‘place the board will hear the evidence and the arguments of all per- sons interested, for or against grant- ing the prayer of the ggtmoner. The petition of Ray Wolden, et al., asking for resurvey, was read. It was moved, seconded and carried, that hear- ing be given as follows: Whereas, ‘o petition has been pre- sented’ to_the board of county commis- sionerg of Beltrami county, Minnesota, asking that said board shall cause to be slrveyed, located and staked out, pur- suant to Chapter 250, Laws of 1895, all sections, and property lines pertaining to_section 6, township 149, range 33. Now’ therefore, notice is hereby given that a hearing on said petition wiil be granted at the office of said board, at Bemidji, Minn., October T7th, 1919, at p. m. Report of R. K. Bliler, surveyor on resurvey of section 22-149-33 was pre-|' sented and on motion duly seconded and carried,, was ordered filed, The petition of Martin Olson, praying that he, together with certain lands de- scribed in said petition, to be set off from school district No. 65 to school district No. 42 in the County of Bel- trami, State of Minnesota, came on to bé heard by this board at the court house, in the City of Bemidji, in said county, on the 2nd day of September, 1919, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and said board having heard all parties in- terested in said matter, and duly con- sidered the same, finds as follows: First—That said petition was duly ap- proved by the county superintendent of schools of said Beltrami county, Minnesota; Second—That notice of hear- ing on sald petition has been duly given by the publishing, posting and serving of the order of hearing of this board on said petition, as by law re- quired; Third—=That said petitioner is the owner of certain lands now situ- ated in school district No. 66 in said county, described as follows, to-wit: Northwest quarter of southwest quarter of section 12, township 149, range 32. Which lands adjoin school district No. 42 in said county: Fourth—That this board finds the following valid reasons for setting off said petitioner from said school district No. 65 to said school dis- trict No. 42, to-wit: Three miles to School in district 65 and, only one mile to_school in district No. ‘42. . . Wherefore ‘it is ordered; that the said petitidner, Martin Olson, together with said land owned by him, as above de- scribed, be, and hereby is, set off and detached from school district No. 65, and attached to and made part of said school district No. 42, and that all of the lands herein-described be, and here- y are, made a part of said school dis- trict 1ast above named. It is hereby ordered, that the prayer of said petition, be, and the same is hereby granted, and said highway is hereby abandoned. The order was put to motion, duly seconded and carried. The petition of Edw. L. Smith, et al., praying for the establishment of a county road, came up for hearing as follows, to-wit: Whereas, a petition signed by twenty- four freeholders of said county, praying for 'the establishment of a.certain high- way in said county running through township 157-31, 157-32, 158-31, 158-32, and not within the limits of any in- corporated city, as hereinafter de, scribed, was presented to this board at its session on the 2nd day of Septem- ber, 1919. Beginning at the place where Lat. 7 of J. D. No. 30 empties into Troy Creek, between sections 29 and 32, of the town of Swiftwater, thence running Wwest between sections 29 and 32, 30 and 31 to range 32 west, and thence south along said range between the towns of Swiftwater and 158-32 and Kiel and Pioneer, to the place where Lat. 3 of J. D. No. 30 empties into Thompson Creek. And this board having deter- mined by the judgment of a majority of its members, that said petition is reasonable on its face,"and having by its order made at said session, appoint- ed Tuesday, the 2nd day of September, 1919, at 2:30 p. m., af the court house in Bemidji, in said county, as the time and place for a hearing upon said peti- tion, and having by said order appoint- ‘ed a committee of its members to ex- amine said proposed route of said road and designated Monday, the 25th day of August, 1919, at 12 “o’clock, noon, at the north end between sections 29 and 32, 158-31, in said county, as the time, and place for said committee to meet' on the route of said proposed road, for the examination of the same, and hav- ing caused notices of said hearing and said meeting of said committee embody- ing a copy of said petition, to be posted in the three most public places.in each town through which said proposed route of said road runs, or affected thereby at least thirty days before the day of' said hearing upon said petition, and be- ing satisfied that said notices were so posted and proof of said posting duly made, and the said committee' having met at the time designated in said order and said notices, and examined the same and made its report in writing to this board, and recommended that said peti- tipn be granted, and said board having met at the time and place designated in said order and said notices, to-wit, at Bemidji, in said county on Tuesday, (Continued on Page Nine.)
