DeWjtt of Cass Lake, who was in Bemidji Saturday to visit a friend. He ust arrived home from Fort -8 ilounton, San Antonio, Texas, whare he was mustered out. At the outbreak of the war, De- Witt enlisted in the navy and wes sent to Great Lakes. severely injured a shoulder and was discharged for disability. ¥ B Returning home he recuperated rapidly .and thén enlisted with the Canadian -forces. While with the Canadians he injured his back and again was discharged for disabiigy. As soon as he was able he enlisted With the United States forces and has been in station along the Mexl- can border. The young soldier has three honor- able discharges from miltary units in the United States and Canada and is a member of the Canadian Vet- erang’ association.
