Hultgren of Sauk Center spent ‘Sunday in Bemidji. The Akeley Herald Tribune says: The girls basket ball team played at Bemidji last Friday evening. They were defeated 29 to 4. The Bemidji ifls were more experienced and the keley girls were confused when playing on a floor so much larger than the one they were used to prac- ticing on. They were well enter- tained by the Bemidji girls. Oscar Holden was in Bemidji. While in the city he took occasion to visit the new normal school building on the bluff facing Lake Bemidji. The school building is complete and all ready for occupancy with the ‘ex- ception of having the seats and other furniture placed “and the electric lights installed. It is a handsome structure, costing $100,000. Effort is now being made to secure an ap- propriation from the legislature with which to provide a dormatory build ing in connection. Incidentally, snowed four inches there Sunday, while here there was none. There was a foot of snow on the level at Bemidji. Here there is not enough for any kind of sleighing —Thirteen Carlton Crothers spent Sunday visiting friends in Walkey. ‘W. 0. Hougan of Henning, Minn., was a visitor in the city Saturday.
