The movement to have the government come to the aid of the states in the upkeep of highways extensively used by the army for motor truck transportation has been taken up by Rep- resentative Edward E. Robbins of Pennsylvania. He has intro- duced a bill providing a comprehensive plan for Federal co- operation in road maintenance, and appropriating $5,000,000 for the purpose.
