RULES CONCERNING “RED CROSS BENERTTS } \] R 3 w4 g Anyone not shiding by’ these rules is acting in violation .against the Redl Cross Association: * - = == 1.-"No "ofters should be accepted contemplating a division of profits between the promoters and the Red Cross. : 2.—No one should be permitted to promote or advertise any entertain- ment or Iike function as a Red Cross benefit unless it is certain that the management or control is entirely in the hands of the Red Cross chapter. 3.—If after due investigation, those offering to conduct entertain- ments for the benefit of the Red Cross are found to be entirely re- liable and acting in good- faith, they may be permitted to make announce- ment in the press or otherwise, of their intention to donate the pro- ceeds of the entertainment to the Red Cross, but the entertainment should not be advertised as a Red Cross benefit or entertainment nor should any wording be used in the announcements that would lead the public to believe that it is being giv- en unde rthe auspices of the Red Cross or that the Red Cross is in any way connected with, or respon- sible for its management. 4.—In no instance should the use of the Red Crcss emblem in announc- ing or advertising an entertainment be authorized except in the case of such entertainments as are actually managed and controlled by the Red Cross chapter. Red Cross Dance. The Red Cross dance will be given tomorrow evening and will undoubt- edly be one of the most successful so- cial events of the year. The mem- bers of the finance committee have complete charge of the benefit and they are doing everything in their power to make the dance a complete success. The dance will be given in the Elks" hall, which has been don- ated to the Red Cross for the occa- sion. They are for all the soldiers all the time. The Knights of Columbus must render this help overseas as well as at home, and in addition, Pope Benedict has asked them to help support the American Red Cross in special work.
