The Brainerd Daily Dispatch says: “Bush, 'who has not been pitching for some time on account of a sore arm, as he wrote his mother, won his last game and broke the losing streak of the Atkletics. All the talk about suspension and dismissal ap- pears to have been a lot of news- paper hot air dope out from the big cities. There are plenty big team managers scrambling after Bush for his worth is known. St. Louis is anx- ious to get him, Detroit, too, and others.” Leslie Bush is well known in Bemidii and is a brother of C. A. Bush of this city. THEATERS \ AT THE REX TONIGHT “Light in Darkness,” an Edison production scheduled for release through Kleine-Edisen-Selig-Essanay may well be termed as a ‘“‘drama with strong human interest.” Critics who have viewed this release agree that the story is out of the ordinary, the acting superb, the photoplay excel- lent and the direction surpassed by none. Shirley Mason, Edison’s versatile little ,star has the stellar role in this production and is supported by an all-star cast including William Tooker, Bigelow Cooper, Frank Mor- gan. William Wadsworth and others. “Light in Darkness” deals chiefly with the struggle two persons have in trying to get out of the maelstorm into which they have been thrown, and the way in which they finally conquer al] obstacles and find peace and hapoiness, is vividly portrayed. This interesting picture will be shown at the Rex theater tonight. At the Rex tomorrow the *“The Plow Woman,” a Butterfly feature, will be shown. The Butterfly films are new in ,Bemidji.
