The Beltrami county district court econvenes September 11, [SOCIETY| ENTERTAIN AT LUNCHEON / Mr. and Mrs. I. W. French of the Bemidji Business college entertained at luncheon yesterday. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Sathre, and Misses Violet Voltz, Anna Brown and Marie Olson. Gladioli were used as table decorations. Mr. Sathre, who is president of the school, pre- sented Misses Voltz, Brown a,nd 0l- son with diplomas, they having fin- ished the college course. I. W. French is secretary of the school. Maroon and gold were the class colors. SURPRISE PARTY Mrs. George Lucas was given a surprise party yesterday afternoon at . the home of Mrs. S. D. Higby. The afternoon was spent in knitting and making a comforter. 7Those present were Mesdames George Lucas, A. B. Flatner, C. C. Snepard, E. E. Hazen, James Caulfield, S. D. Higby and Misses Irene Lappan and Leta Higby. GREENSLIT-EDWARDS Miss Emma Edwards and Orville E.
