Register of Visitors. . We further recommend that a vis- itors’ register be placed in a prom- inent place, and that the steward be instructed that all non-resident or resident visitors must be regis- tered each day they are admitted. We also recommend that a new lock and kéys for all members in good standing be procured at once, and that a list of all members who have not paid their monthly dues by the fifth of each month, be furnish- ed the steward, who shall be auth- orized to collect such delinquent dues as such members present them- selves. And further that a list of delinquent members be posted on the blackboard on the tenth of each month, as provided in Article 2 of the by-laws. We urge the adoption of these or similar recommendations at the first meeting of the club on Tuesday, the sixteenth of the present month, and that the payment of monthly dues of $2.50 begin the first day of Feb- ruary next. - AT GRAND TONIGHT At the Grand tonight will be pre- sented John Barrymore in the comic- dramatic adventure entitled ‘“The Lost Bridegroom. ” It is a Famous Players offering. He had been employed in the Engler mill and was taken to the hospital about a week ago when it was noticed that he was ill. Shortly afterward his mind became unbalanced and he be- came so violent that it was necessary to move him to the pail, where a guard could be placed over him. Here he sank rapidly until death came. Sarrasin had a certificate showing that he had been a member of the 141st Canadian overseas battalion, and had been discharged as physic- ally unfit. He was forty-five years of age, and while he was known to many in the district, nothing is known of his relatives. Wells, former Kansas City brok- ers’ clerk, has confessed to R. P. Duncan, county prosecutor, that he shot and killed Mona Byron Simon in a room in a hotel here last Thursday night. In his confession, the authorities say, Wells says he met Miss Simon, took her to his hotel room, Wwhere: they quarreled. She threatened hi with a razor and he shot her, he told the police. CAT SAVES FAMILY Winnebago, Minn., Jan. 16.—The scratching of the family cat at the front door in her anxiety to get out of the house was all that saved the family of George Brown from the fire that destroyed their home in the middle of the night.
