‘THE BEMIDJI DAILY PIONEER A jubilee will be held in the Swed- ish Lutheran church this evening at 8 o’clock. The following program has @ been arranged: Song, by the choir; xldress, Rev. J. H. Randahl, pastor -+of the church; vocal solo, Andrew Linden; reading, Miss Mabel John- son; speech, Rev. Osmund Johnson, pastor of the First Scandinavian Lutheran church; vocal duet, Rev. and Mrs. I. D. Alvord; vocal solo, Mrs. G. C. Berglund; speech, August ‘Westlund; vocal solo, Miss Ida Vir- ginia Brown; benediction, Rev. J. H. Randahl; song by the choir. A free lunch will be served in the basement of the church after the program. The public is cordially invited to attend. d The annual ball of the Brotherhood of, Locomotive Firemen and Engine- gen was given in the armory Wednes- /‘dsy night. Sixty couples attended and a number of out-of-town guests were present. The color sicheme was red, green and white, a large head- light and trainmen’s lanterns being used.in connection with other unique decorations. The initials of the brotherhood were outlined in red, green and white and covered the stage entrance. Burchard’s orches- tra furnished the musie. The ladies of the Baptist church will hold their Christmas sale tomor- row, Dec. 2, instead of Dec. 6, as pre- viously planned. The hours will be from 1 p. m. to 8 p. m. There will be a fancy work booth, candy booth +and food and parcel post booth. Nu- merous fancy and useful articles suitable for Christmas gifts have been made by the ladies of the church and will be on sale.
