BEMIDJI PERSONS GET INHERITANGE (Special to the Pioneer) New York, July 10.—An appraisal of the estate left by John J. Sullivan —deceased cousin, in Bemidji, of Wililiam and Mable Donovan—made by one of the Transfer Tax State Ap- praisers, which report today is on file here in the Surrogates’ Court, shows that when the decedent passed away without leaving a will on March 5, 1914, he left $21,322.78 in cash, on deposit, in 11 savings banks. Out of this sum, however, there are expenses of $2,563.80—which brings the estate down to the net fig- ures of $18,768.98. intestate laws of this state passes over in various amounts to 37 cou- sins, who are his only surviving rela- tives, the following, who are the chil- dren of James Donovan, deceased, each receiving $224.28: k: Mrs. Robert Ore of Neckling, S. D., Maggie Le France of Buffalo, Mont., William and Mable Donovan, both of Bemidji, Minn., Gertie Donovan of Ethan, 8. D., and Daniel Donovan, whose address to the administrator is unknown but when last heard of was wandering around in Montana. Some of the cousins receive $1,347. 67, others $672.83. The only William Donovan known of in Bemidji, was the Soo railway agent here several years ago. He is now a salesman in Minneapolis. Those who did not get waited on during Monday morning’s rush will find better opportunity-the rest of the week. International Falls, Minn., July 10. —A sensation was sprung in district court here last week when a juror, sitting in the second trial of Glen Saville on a blind pigging charge, al- leged he had been offered a bribe and accused J. W, Feldman of North- ome, where the juror resides. Feld- ‘| man was brought here on a bench warrant issued by Judge McClenahan and his hearing set for July 20. It is reported two other warrants will be issued in the same manner.. The crime with which Feldman is charged is a felony. The jury on Thursday brought in a verdict of guilty in the case of Sa- ville at his first trial. This makes the third conviction for blind pigging with one disagreement case to be re- tried, Ole Paulson of Littlefork. The other two men convicted be- sides Saville, are Lalonde of Little- fork and George Elliott of Interna- tional Falls, The case of Thomas Beaton of Ra- nier is the next case to be heard. Paulson of Littlefork will be retried and there are eight more criminal cases to be tried and a week of civil work before the term will be com- pleted.
