Tomorrow being the Fourth of July there will be no edition of the _Daily Pioneer. Henry Rines, the defeated candi- date for the state auditor nomination has announced his intention to con- test the election of J. A. O. Preus, and “Jake” comes right back with the claim that the Mora man has violated the laws of the state in viewing the returns of the primaries at a Duluth recount, thereby placing him in contempt of court. There are now four members of the “Municipal Court Automobile as- sociation,” with the prospects that this number will be materially in- creased within a short time. Couldn’t it be arranged so that the dues paid into this organization might be used for bettering the road conditions of the city and then impress the fact upon the mind. of every auto driver that .it is his duty to get “pinched.” Only By Co-operation. Northern Minnesota is developing fast. It is daily becoming more and more like the famous garden where Adam and Eve first made each oth- er's acquaintance. It is fast assum- ing numbers in population that will —possibly—one day rank favorably with the crowded condition of the! oriental countries. It is slowly assum- ing a financial condition which may | one day place it upon an equal foun- dation with the United States mint, as far as money-making qualities are concerned. But all these develop- ments cannot bring themselves about. They can only be due by a sincere and hearty co-operation by and be- tween every settler, every business man and every woman in Northern' Minnesota, says the Deerwood Times. And that is why we have the North- ern Minnesota Development associa- tion and its semi-annual meohings.g The woman on the Northern Minne-| sota farm is just as much a factor in the development of that part of the state as is her hard-working hus- band. Her encouragement, and her tireless efforts are responsible for the vim and vigor with which her husband “digs in” from early until late in efforts to bring about the changeg that result in prosperity. The N. M. D. A. is not a limited or- ganization. Its territory embraces the entire northern part of the state and any person residing in that terri- tory is urged to be present at the meetings. There’s no limit and no restrictions. That’s why it is sue- cessful. KEH KK XK KK KK KKK KK * EDITORIAL EXPLOSIONS * HRHKH KK KKK KKK KKK K If W. E.
