That the house will be forced to vote at an early date on a resolu- tion providing for national prohibi- tion through an amendment to the federal constitution was practically sssured. Definite action on the subject was expected to be taken by the house rules committee at a special meet- ing, but a special rule. for consider- ation of the Hobson prohibition 2mendment was unacted upon when the committee adjourned until later.
