B ‘Washington, May 8.—With a plain circlet of pure gold, typical of the quiet elegance of the ceremony, Miss Eleanor Randolph Wilson, youngest daughter of the president pt the Unit- ed States and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, was married at 6 o’clock last night in the White House to William Gibbs McAdoo, secretary of the treasury. The service of the Presbyterian church was pronounced by Rev. Syl- vester Beach, pastor of the church in Princeton, N. J., attended by the president and Mrs. Wilson and their family. Dr. Cary N. Grayson, U. S. N., the president’s aide and physician, was the best man, and the maid of honor was Miss Margaret Wilson, the bride’s sister. The ceremony, while notably ele- gant in all of its appointments, was witnessed by the smallest company that ever attended so important a function of the White House. Cabinet Members Present. Vice President and Mrs. Marshall, the members of the cabinet and their wives, relatives of the president and Mrs. Wilson, and of Secretary Mc- Adoo and a few intimate personal friends of the bride and bridegroom, comprised the list of the guests. The ceremony took place in the his- toric blue room, the middle apartment of the suite on the south side of the ‘White .House, between the east room and the state dining room. It has been the scene of more brilliant so- cial functions than any other room in the mansion. The bride, who is the youngest daughter of the president, is twenty- filve years of age. The bridegroom was born in Mari- | etta, Ga., fifty-one years ago. His first wife died about two years ago. She was Sarah Houston Fleming of Chat- tanooga, Tenn.
