CLAIR STOCK COMPANY PRESENTS The Bachelor’s Romance IN FOUR ACTS BY MARTHA MORTON This is a celebrated comedy pro- duced by the late Sol Smith Russell, for so many years with great success. The part played by Mr. Raussell, that if David Holmes, is played by Boris Karloff and he will be seen in one of his strongest character roles A quaint odd character. He is a bachelor, country editor, and liter- ary critic so absorbed in ‘his work, that, the outside world has little in- terest for him: In fact he has even overlooked the fact that-his ward Sylvia, who lives with a maiden Aunt has outgrown childhod and he still sends her dolls and other toys as presents. When however he finds she is a child no longer, and she comes to him, the whole world looks different to him and a change comes over his entire life. His sanctum grows too narrow for him and his interest in her, leads him out into the worlq and he regards his charming ward with more tender feelings than those of fatherly interest. Miss Margot Beaton plays the part of Syl- via and is very charming in the part Irene St. Clair, Ivan Hamby, and Harry St. Clair all have excellent comedy roles and the other members all have excellent pants.
