Paul, Feb. 25.—Johmn Osik, who is serving a life sentence at Still- water with Joseph Gyarmati for the murder of Gyramati's wife June 18, 1913, was granted a new trial by Judge Orr. Motion for the new trial was made by Attorney Irvine Weiss and was based on a confession of guilt made in a letter to Governor Eberhart by Gyarmati since his in- carceration. He exonerates Oski. In granting Weiss’ motion Judge Orr declares that the confession of Gyarmati clearly entitles Osik to an- other trial and believes the question of the truth or falsity of the confes- sion is up to a jury.
