Mr. Ryan has resided at Mud Lake for several years and has proved up .on his claim on the shores of Rice lake. TINKER BRINGS RECORD PRICE Chicago Ball Player Sold to Brooklyn for $25,000. New York, Dec. 15.—Joe Tinker, member of the famous trio, Tinker, Evers and Chance, of the Chicago Cubs and former manager of the Cin- cinnati Reds, has the distinction of being the highest priced ball player in the game. By paying $25,000 for Tinker’s serv- ices, President Ebbets of Brooklyn -topped all previous prices for players and only the agreement of Tinker to the deal is awaited to make him a member of the Dodgers. As Tinker is to receive $10,000 of the bonus price it is believed he will accept. $40,000 Bequest to Dog. London, Dec. 15.—That her dog Paddy might be comfortable for life Mrs. Harriet Eggleston, who died worth $172,000, left $40,000 to him.
