J. M. Reed came down from Black- duck this morning. Wm. C. Lennon from Kelliher was in Bemidji Tuesday on business. Dance in Dreamland tonight. Miss Nellie Knott came down from Spur and will spend a few days with friends in the city. Mr. and Mrs. E. D. French of St. Cloud are guests of their son, George French of this city. Mrs. W. R. Mackenzie leaves to- night for Minneapolis, where she ex- pects to spend a week. Mrs. M. Madson has returned from Hibbing, where she has been visiting her son for a few days. Miss Corilla Smith, of Cass Lake, came to Bemidji yesterday and is spending the day shopping and vis- iting friends. Dance in Dreamland tonight. Miss Eva Poupore returned to her home at Grand Forks, after spending her vacation at their cottage on Grand Forks Bay. Mrs. Herbert Wood and children returned from Brainerd last night after having spent two weeks with friends and relatives. Louis Bennington and J. R. Mec- Donald are in International Falls, They have been cruising in the north- ern part of the county. Hines has been engaged to take charge of Prof. E. M. Sathre’s Hazelwood farm in the town of Lib- erty, and will move his family there as son as arrangements can be made. the position held by Miss McGregor last year. Crookston Times—Miss Margaret McDonald, who has been the guest of Miss Ina Phillips for a few days, has {left for Bemidji where she will be the guests of a cousin for a week. From Bemidji, Miss McDonald goes to International Falls to attend the training school to be held there the first week in September and then go to Northome where she is to teach this winter. Ten- ney, of the land department of the Crookston Lumber company, in dis- tributing postcards from the Beltra- mi county booth.
