Mrs. Borchardt ‘was accompanied by her brother, Ar- chie Naugle, who returned to Sol- way after spending a few hours in the city on business. Miss Nell Shannon left this morn- ing for Minneapolis where she will spend a week visiting relatives and friends after which she will go on to Fergus Falls where she has been en- gaged to teach in the public schools. Besides teaching one grade, Miss Shannon will assist with the musie, teaching music in part of the grades. Miss Etta Greene of Little Falls, |arrived in the city last evening to be a guest at the home of her aunt, Mrs. {Chas. Hammond. Miss Greene will go to Cass Lake in the morning with Mr. and Mrs. Gillette and children of Little Falls, and will return with them in the evening. Dugas, president; A. S. Williams, secretary; C. M. Taylor, treasurer. Thursday has been des- ignated as the regular shoot day and the ball park is the place where the traps are set. New members are joining daily and it is expected that about thirty .will be secured.—Cass Lake Times. The fifth annual Sunday school pic- nic of the Scandinavian Lutheran church will be held tomorrow at Dia- mond Point. The members of the church will meet at the point at 10 o’clock and the entire day will be spent there. The Ladies’ Aid of the ' |church will have charge of the affair. At noon a picnic dinner will be served, each person to bring a well filled basket. A program will be given which will be composed of |songs and addresses. The pastor and |2 number of others will give address- |es. | Miss Dorothy Humes, under the auspices of the Cass Lake Commer- cial club, has been giving a series of vaudeville entertainments at the Lyric theater at Cass Lake this week. Miss Humes has drilled a number each night a vaudeville feature is given in connection with moving pic- tures. The vaudeville features have differed each night and on Saturday night a complete vaudeville enter- tainment will be given, which will in- clude the single features of the other nights.
