Our attention has recently been called to the address given by Mr. Fred J. Hopkins, of the Credit Mens' association, the Minnesota Hardware Dealers association, and it occurs to us that it would pay every merchant and business man to read it carefully and adopt the suggestions before given therein. It is ‘as natural for us to kick on insurance rates as it is on: taxes. Many of us have adopted the method of getting cut rate insurance, and probably none of us have looked into the matter to see whether or not we are getting proper protection for the premiums paid. Mr. Hopkins says in his address: 5 “It is my conviction that there is nothing for which the average coun- try merchant pays out his good mon- ey that he knows so little about, or seems to care as little for, then those agreements known as fire insurance On the other hand, there is no item of expense entering into the conduct of a business that is more legitimate or . should- be paid with greater willingness, than fire insur- ance protection.” 3 policies. ‘We have all tried the plan of kick- || ing against the rates given by the companies, and as before stated many of us have tried the cut rate or bar- gain insurance, which Mr. Hopkins says to guard against, but have we accomplished anything, Why not try the plan of co-operation with the in- surance companies? Let us for ex- ample try a local board, composed of the leading and most aggressive bus- who can then find out from the companies just what would be required to give a certain building iness men, or stock the most advantageous rate. Let that board be clothed with -au- thority to require you or your neigh- bor to do and perform certain things that would improve the risk, there- by lowering the rate. It is our opinion that if action along these lines were taken * we would be able to get our insurance in the best companies at not only a much less rate, but we could drive the wild cat and bargain companies from our midst. NEWS FORECAST FOR THE COMING WEEK. The first regular -session of the Sixty-third congress will assemble at noon Monday. The president’s mes- sage .will be read in both houses on Tuesday and then the lawmakers will be 'ready to take up the appropria- tion measures and the bills dealing with the tariff, the trusts and other big issues, the consideration of which promises to make the session one of extraordinary importance. When gray hairs appear it is a sign that Nature needs assistance. It is Nature’s call for help. Gray hair, dull, lifeless hai-, or hair thar is falling out, is not necessarily a sign of advancing age, for there are thousands of elderly 1.3cple with per- fect heads of hair without a single streak of gray. Z When' gray hairs come, or when the hair seems to be liieless or dead, some good, reliable -hair-restoring treatment should be resorted to at once. best preparations to use is the old- fashioned “sage tea which our grandparents used. The best prepa= |ration of this kind is Wyeth’s Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy, a prepa- ration of domestic sagv and sulphur, scientifically compounded with later discovered hair tonics and stimulants, the whole mixture being carefully balanced and tested by experts. Wyeth’s Sage and Sulphur is clean and wholesome and perfectly harm- less. It refreshes dry parched hair, removes dandruff and gradually re- stores faded or gray hair to its na- tural color. Don’t delay another minute. Start using Wyeth’s Sage. and Sulphur at once and see what a difference a few days’ treatment will make in your hair.
