The electric light plant| will be managed in the future by M. D. Stoner along with his other busi- | ness interests, Mr. Jewett is one of the early settlers in Blackduck, hav- ing lived here for a number of years. He expects to be in Bemidji most of the time after the first of the year, where he will open his garage soon after Jan. 1st. The evening was pleasantly spent with music and conversation, A New Year’s Eve surprise was perpetrated on Mr. and Mrs. P. N, Anderson by about twenty neighbors and friends, who brought baskets containing delicious viands, and who took possession of the Anderson home. The evening was merrily spent and the entire party watched the Old Year out and the New Year in befare departing for their homes. The baskets were opened and a delicious lunch spread for the guests.
