Smith and little child returned last evening to their home at Kelliher, having spent the day in the ‘city visiting with friends of the Smith family. J. Bisiar, senior member -of the the firm of Bisiar & Murphy, left last evening on a business trip “up the line,” which includes stops at Kelliher and Blackduck. The “bunch” was in charge of C. G. Johnson, senior member of the firm. Heny Blake, senior member of the logging firm of Blake & Haw- kins, passed through the city last evening from his home at Minne- apolis to the scene of his logging operations east of Blackduck, in the Rebedew lake country. Blake & Hawkins are logging considerable this season and are very busy in- dividuals. Park Hotel re-opened, by Gilbert Bourdan. Mr. Hollinger has a number of loyal friends in Bemidji and "he always “drops around” when in this part of the state and has a friendly chat with them, Charles Collins has received a letter from W. N. Bowser, who is now living at LosAngeles, California, with Mrs. Bowser and their son Eban, in which Mr. Bowser states that they like the conditions out in the land of oranges and tarantulas, Mr. Bowser says that he had a call from Mr. and Mrs. O’Leary who had left that day for Redlands, where they will hereafter make their home. According to Mr. Bowser, H. A. Mayo is engaged in the grocery busi- ness at LosAngeles and has for a partner Ted Winebrenner, and is doing very well.
