WANT DAMAGES FOR EXPLOSION Iver Wold of Cass Lake Starts Suit Against Acety- lene Gas Plant Co. Piano Selec A suit for $9,000 damages for the destruction of a saloon build- ing and its contents at Cass Lake by the explosion of an acetylene gas plant has been started by Iver Wold, the surviving partner of the firm of Rivard & Wald, whose saloon was blown - to pieces in the summer of 1904, the explosion rendering injuries to Rivard from which he never recovered. The suit is directed against the J, B. Colt- ¢ompany, manufacturer ‘of acety“lene gas plants. ‘It has peen carried'to the federal court and the attor- neys for the défendants have now made a motion that the ser- j vice of the summons be set aside on the grounds that the defend- ant is a foreign corporation and has no agent in this state..
