Martin Acquitted. James A. Martin was last night | acquitted of the charge of illegally having venison in his possession, the jury after a short delibera- tion bringing in a verdict of not! guilty. A number of the jurors, while admitting that the charge against Martin had been fully proven, were loath to have the penalty of $50 and costs imposed on the defendant. ° The game laws allow of no penalty on this charge of less than $50 and costs.
