The condition of John Doran, typhoid fever at St. Anthony’s hospital for several days past, is reported to be somewhat im- proved today. Mr. Doran is very ill yet, however, but he is now considered out of danger. Senator Stephens Gives $600. There has been some alarm in northwestern Minnesota least the building for the branch agri- cultural school at Crookston should fail to be built this year. The bids received exceeded the amount of the appropriation and there is no timeto draw new plans and advertise anew for bids. If the building were net built this year, the appropriation would lapse and the fight in the legislature would haye to be made all over again and the school would be delayed at least two years.
