Abz Wyler went to Cass Lake| AWAITS 'VENEZUELAN ~REPLY. this afternoon in the interests of i the Bemidji Brewing company. France Takes No Action Regarding Pending Differences. Paris, Sept. 25.—The foreign office has not yet received Venezuela’s re- sponse to the instructions sent to M. Taigny, the French charge d’affaires at Caracas, requiring Venezuela to dis- avow her oftensive action in refusing to carry on relations with France through him and therefore French ac- tion in the matter is in abeyance pend- ing receipt of ihe reply. The official view here strongly sup- ports concurrent action on the part of the United States and France. It is sald that no direct propositions for joint action have yet been formulated. The sailing of Ambassador Jusserand on the Lorraine for New York during the day is expected to afford an early { opportunity to go over the situation. |in the meantime the authorities say that no decision will be taken relative to the dispatch of warships or other steps until Venezuela has had an op- portunity to reply. They roasted potatoes in the ashes, boiled tea in the tea pail, and fixed their dinner up in other unique fashions. They went on the lake in a dilapi- dated flat bottomed boat and did other distressing things which city people think ¢“decidedly lovely.” J] Frederick’ E.
