The musicale given at the opera house last evening by Mr. and Mrs. Thompson of Sioux Falls was one of the most enjoyable musical events ever given in the city, and itis hard to say whether the playing of Mrs, Thompson or the singing of Mr. Thompson was most enthusiasticaljy re- ceived. Every number on the program was a delight. Mr. Thompson has a tenor voice of marvelous sweetness and pownr, his enunciation was perfect and his selections were rendered with delightful interpretation. | Mrs. Thompson’s accompani- ments were pearls of music in themselves, while heér piano solos ravished the hearts of the lovers of music of Bemidji. The open- ing number, “The Dance of! Death” by Mrs. Foster and Mrs. | Thompson was a wonderfal piece of mu-ic while Mr, Thompson’s rendition of “If With 2l Your Hearts” from the Oratorio of Elijai} was grand and most veauti- ful.
