From time to time good sized pieces of iron ore have been found in the vicinity of Black- duck and at other points dlong great deal better, and I still continued the line of the Minnesota & In- ternational. The Turtle River Pine Tree for this week gives the following item of interest in this connection: : L. O. Grondall, a professor of the St. Olof College, at North- field is here visiting his uncle, Postmaster A, O, Johnson for a few days. Mr. Grondall has 'been in the vicinity of Hibbing for the past two months making analysis of iron ore.. Both of the above gentlemen visited the mammoth springs on the farm of C. C. Powell’s one day this week and Mr. Grondall pronounced the water from the springs. to contain strong indications of iron, and there is no question but what Mr. Powell will make an in- vestigation.’ - Teachers Entertain.
