' It has ex- ceeded every expectation of its projectors, 'has brought’ the Ikmowledge of Bemidji and its ad-|. vantage to a large number of peo- ple and resulted in a spiritual uplift to the churches of this city and to the délegatesand citizens attending the meetings of the con- ference. It has been decided to make the conferenze a permanent institu- tion in Bemidji and annual ses- sions will be held here. Fisher Says Crops Around Funkley Are In. Fine Shape. M. H. Fisher of Funkleyis a Bemidji visitor today and reports crops in excellent condition at that place. About four hundred acres of grain is ripening and promises a good yield as well” “as a good quality. The first thresing machine to be owned by a Beltrami county man has been purchased by J. W. Carlson who will see that all the grains are threshed. Some of the best farming lands in the county are situated in that vicinity and'is rapidly being cleared and tilled by the sturdy tillers of the soil.
