Special Agent Cornwall of the interior department left this af- ternoon for Koochiching, where he will inspect a number of homesteads that are about to be proved up. The department is using much precaution in con- nection with the enforcement law the methods now in use practic- ally compel the homesteaders to live up to the law or lose his claim. The degree team of the Modern Woodmen yesterday held a prac tice drill to prepare for ihe dis- trict convention to be held in Be- midji July 3-5. Prizes will be awarded to the best appearing teams, the prizes to be furnished by the local lodge.
