{ | i { 'i'errlble Accident on th@ M. & 1. Near Walker - ' Yesterday. } UNKNOWN MAN LOSES HIS LIFE IN AWFUL MANNER. Supposed to Have Been Stealhing a Ride on the South Bound Freight. A terrible accident occurred yesterday near Walker when fan unknown man lost his life being literally cut to pieces by the south bound freight. The accident occurred about five miles south of Walker and it is supposed that the man was stealing a ride and fell from the the train. The man’s mangled re- mains were found sirewn along the track for some distance there! being little resemblance to a human being left. The remains were brought to Walker. by the crew of the north bound freight where they now await identifica- tion. COURT AT WALKER Action for Converson Involv- ing at Building at Cass Lake. The first case taken up by the spring term of court fo- Cass county now in session at Walker was that of Cbarles Miller of Battle River vs. Nina Budge of Cass Lake. The plaintiff is a resident of Beltrami county and claims~that the defendant has converted a building in Cass Lake valued at $800 and sues for recovery of premises. The de- fendant has entered a general' denial. Henry Funkley appears for the plaintiff and Fred Smith for the defendant. .
