Barker’s Drug store. G. A. Tuller, who is interested in 14 mercantile institutions scat- tered throughout northern Min- nesota, passed through the city last night on his way to Ten- strike. Mr. Tuller stated that the Tenstrike store had been closed up and the stock will be taken to Northome. The Black- duck store of the company has been sold and the goods will also be removed to Northome, where alarge establishment is being cpened by the company. The re- moval of the stock from Black- ducx will not take place until June 1. Mr. Tuller gives as the reason for closing up the stores at Tenstrike and Blackduck as being that in order to do yery much business it is necessary to take cedar and pine in payment for goods, and the company is not willing to do this, as all the stores are conducted ona cash basis. He comes from Beltrami county and as that county has refused to honor the bills of Polk county for commit- ting insane people in the past, Judge of Probate Thoreson has refused to commit this person on the grounds that the law does not provide for the committal of the transient insane.
