Lydick hall was engaged for the occasion and a goodly supply of refreshments were put in the hall for the useof the partici- pants in the meeting. There were present President G. W. It was also agreed that the rule 3 should be rigidly enforced at the next tournament, which will not allow the use of large lugs on the couplings. It has been the cus- tom heretofore to use very large leaden lugs. but under the new ruling these will be done away with. It was the sense of the meeting that this association should establish more friendly relations with the tournament association which will hold a meeting at Blackduck during the month of June, and with that end in view the secretary was in- structed to correspond with the officials of-the other organization with a view to arranging a cham pionship race with the winning teams of the two associations, the race to be held at the most cen- trally located town, where alarge purse would be offered to the winner. sociation that everything possible would be done to make the tour- nament to be held next August a highly successful one, and that the purses to be offered for the various races and contests would be very liberal. department, and Henry Dahlstul of Blackduck, members of the were also present. Deafness _Cannot Be Cured by local applications, as they can not reach the diseased portion of the ear. There isonly one way to cure deafness, and that is by constitutional remedies . Dea: ness is caused by an inflamed condition of the mucous lining of the Eustachian tube. When this tube is inflamed you have a rum- bling sound or imperfect hearing and when it is entirely closed, deafness is the result;and unless the inflammation can be taken out and this tube restored to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed forever; nine cases out of ten are caused by catarrh, which is nothing but an inflamed condition of the mucous surfaces. We will give one hundred dol- lars- for any case of deafness (caused by catarrh) that can not be cured by Hall’s Gatarrh Cure. —F J. Cheney & Co., : Toledo, O.
